You must have heard about Olaplex and its amazing hair protocol. We (re)brand augmentation and capillary bond maintenance system.
Protocol for all hair damage
There are more ways to damage our hair than there are ways to fix it. There are 5 main factors: The heat with hair dryers and other irons is super hot. Chemicals: coloring and bleaching. But also smoothing care: it is not because it is indicated that care does not hurt! Brushing and tension on wet hair are also factors in brittleness. Finally, environmental factors (sun, extreme humidity) and pollution can weaken the hair and break up the capillary bonds.
But this is where the Olaplex formula distinguishes itself with a product to suit every situation. And we find in each of the products Diaminopropyl Diglycol Diagonal. Kisaku? It’s the brand’s star molecule that repairs and protects hair from within. You can also use Olaplex on all hair types. Curly, straight, curly: technology suits everyone.
Technique used in hairdressing salons
Although the brand is very modern (created in 2014 in a California garage), it quickly gained international fame and rose to the rank of the largest hair care brand in the world. And all thanks to the support of hairdressers: the first fans of the Olaplex protocol were hairdressers!
We find the brand not only in the hairdressers of our area, but also in the hairdressers of the stars! Nearly six world-renowned hairstylists (those from J-Lo, Kiernan Shipka, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Charlize Theron) are Olaplex ambassadors.
The brand initially focused on products intended exclusively for professionals before launching it with the general public. Moreover, even today, treatments #1 and #2 are not available without a prescription. Your stylist is waiting for you to do the full protocol if your hair is severely damaged.
To fix your hair at home
To continue caring for your hair at home, Olaplex has developed a customized routine of nearly 9 products. Starting with the No. 0 Hair Prep Treatments: No. 0 (Intensive Bond Building) and Best Seller No. 3 (Hair Supplement). These two pre-treatments are used together once a week. The number 0 makes it possible to target the hair to be further repaired and is used downstream than the number 3 which can be used alone. Pro tip: Take No. 3 to the beach and put a touch up in your hair before you get wet.
For more regular maintenance, we turn to the combination of shampoo (No. 4) and conditioner (No. 5). The brand also offers a 4P number: a purple shampoo specifically meant for blondes. And the latest one: Shampoo No. 4C. The latter is used once a week and purifies the hair by getting rid of all the residue. Finally, to intensely nourish damaged hair, choose Mask No. 8 (avoid it if you have finer hair).
On the post-wash side, there are 4 different treatments: Number 6 is a leave-in styling cream to eliminate frizz and smooth out frizz. No. 7 is the essential repair oil: it is particularly light and a few drops of it are enough to nourish dry ends. Finally, the latest novelty, Hair Serum: No. 9. A leave-in treatment that protects hair from pollution and also from heat up to 230 degrees.
Finally, Olaplex products are vegan, without sulfates, phthalates, phosphates and are not tested on animals.
